Jose

Practice Administrator

Jose – Practice Administrator

Jose has been an integral part of Atique Orthodontics since its beginning, when it was founded as a family project alongside Dr. Atique, his wife. As the practice administrator, he is dedicated to ensuring the office runs smoothly while supporting both patient experience and team operations.

He holds an MBA from Temple University and brings broad management experience, allowing him to oversee administration, marketing, insurance, finances, and IT. Jose is also the go-to resource for any questions related to accounts or insurance.

Jose and Dr. Atique have been married for more than three decades and have two children, Daniel and Diego. Outside of the office, he is an avid cyclist—both road and mountain—and enjoys spending time outdoors, traveling, and staying actively involved in the community.

Hope

Treatment Coordinator

Hope – Treatment Coordinator

Hope has been part of the dental field since 1996, beginning her career as a certified dental assistant in general dentistry before pursuing her passion for orthodontics. She truly enjoys building relationships with families and has a natural ability to help children feel comfortable and confident during their visits, creating a positive and welcoming experience every time.

Outside the office, Hope loves traveling with her husband of 25 years, Brian, and cherishes time spent with her two daughters and two granddaughters. She also enjoys baking cakes and decorating cookies—her favorite way to relax and share something special with her family.

Blanca

Financial Coordinator

Blanca - Financial Coordinator

Originally from Mexico, she is bilingual and able to connect with both English- and Spanish-speaking patients. For the past five years, she has been part of Atique Orthodontics as a Financial Coordinator—a rewarding role that has allowed her to grow professionally and contribute to the team’s success.

She has been married for nearly 20 years and is the proud mother of a wonderful son. Passionate about cooking, she enjoys sharing with her family the flavors and traditions that reflect her roots.

Mary Margaret Ruiz

Patient Relations Coordinator

Mary Margaret Ruiz – Patient Relations Coordinator

Mary Margaret first became part of Atique Orthodontics as the mother of two patients, and she still loves seeing the beautiful smiles they achieved. Today, she plays a key role in the office, supporting everything from patient check-in and scheduling to financial coordination, patient flow, and organizing fun activities like contests and school events.

She especially enjoys working alongside a great team and building connections with patients and their families, helping create a warm and welcoming experience every day.

Mary Margaret and her husband, J.D., have been married for over 30 years and have two children. In her free time, she enjoys baking, cheering on the Spurs, Cowboys, and Astros, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Yrama Alvarez

Orthodontic Assistant

Yrama Alvarez – Orthodontic Assistant

Yrama trained as an orthodontist in Venezuela, where she attended dental school alongside Dr. Atique. With many years of clinical experience, she brings a high level of knowledge and skill to the team and plays an important role in delivering excellent orthodontic care.

She values being part of a supportive and positive team that is committed to helping others and providing the best possible experience for every patient.

Yrama is the proud mother of two daughters and enjoys creative hobbies such as cross-stitch, quilting, and paper crafts.

Carla

Orthodontic Assistant

Carla – Orthodontic Assistant

Carla completed dental assistant school in 2006 and developed her orthodontic skills early on, learning from her mother. She joined Atique Orthodontics in 2017 and values being part of a team that feels like a second family—one built on trust, respect, and genuine care for one another. She enjoys assisting with all orthodontic procedures and takes pride in being part of each patient’s smile journey. Outside of the office, Carla enjoys spending time with her two daughters and shopping.

Miriam

Miriam – Orthodontic Assistant

Miriam has been an orthodontic assistant since May 2005 and has truly enjoyed helping patients achieve their best smiles throughout her career. She is proud to be part of the team at Atique Orthodontics, where she has gained valuable experience and appreciates the opportunity to connect with patients in her first language, Spanish.

Outside of work, Miriam enjoys spending time with her husband and their beautiful 6-year-old daughter. Family time is very important to her, and she cherishes creating meaningful memories together.

Enriqueta

Enriqueta – Orthodontic Assistant

Originally from Monterrey, Mexico, Enriqueta is a dentist licensed in Mexico who brings a strong clinical foundation and deep understanding of orthodontics to the team. Inspired by her father, an orthodontist, she developed an early passion for the field and continues to expand her knowledge and skills every day. She moved to San Antonio with her husband and quickly became a valued part of the Atique Orthodontics team. Known for her easygoing personality and expertise, Enriqueta helps create a comfortable and confident experience for both patients and team members alike.

Tiffany

Orthodontic Assistant

Tiffany – Orthodontic Assistant

Tiffany brings a wealth of experience to Atique Orthodontics, having been involved in the field of orthodontics since her teenage years. Her strong clinical background and hands-on knowledge allow her to provide confident, attentive care to every patient. She is a dedicated mom and, together with her fiancé, is raising three children. Tiffany has a passion for healthy living and enjoys learning about wellness and staying active through exercise. Her commitment to both her family and personal growth makes her a valued part of the team.

Lauren

Orthodontic Assistant

Lauren – Orthodontic Assistant

Lauren is the youngest member of the team and brings a fresh, positive energy to the office. She has several years of experience as an orthodontic assistant and works part-time while attending The University of Texas at San Antonio, where she is pursuing her goal of becoming an orthodontist.

Kind, upbeat, and always smiling, Lauren creates a welcoming environment for patients and teammates alike. Her enthusiasm for learning and genuine care for others make her a wonderful part of the Atique Orthodontics team.
